There are as many reasons for getting breast implants as there are unique women in the world. Some women experience a reduction in breast size due to weight loss, while other women experience a loss of elasticity in breast tissue as a part of the natural aging process. If you have naturally small breasts and you want to stop worrying about them once and for all, a breast implant procedure may be right for you. Awesome pricing right now on implants and anesthesia. If you were ever thinking about having this surgery done, this is a great time.

Weight loss surgery is major surgery. Its growing use to treat obesity and morbid obesity is the result of three factors: our current knowledge of the significant health risks of morbid obesity, the relatively low risk and complications of the procedures versus not having surgery, and the ineffectiveness of current non-surgical approaches to produce sustained weight loss. The materials found here will provide valuable information on the benefits and risks of weight loss surgery. However, the best way to get a full assessment of your condition is to schedule a consultation to determine if weight loss surgery may be an option for you. This is the ultimate commitment, but if you are serious about it, this is a great price and you really can’t find a better group of surgeons to work on you.

Contact the office you would like to be seen at today. They can set you up for a consultation where your questions and concerns can be addressed in a personal manner.

Eye Surgery with Dr. Durboraw

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Dr. Durboraw commonly addresses problems of the eyelids with surgery, from excess eyelid skin and drooping eyelids to malpositions of the eyelids. Skin cancer of the eyelids and surrounding area can become a complex reconstructive undertaking and there is no one more qualified than Dr. Durboraw in the surrounding region.

Ptosis is a condition where the eyelid margin has descended and is obscuring the pupil of your eye and your peripheral vision. People often describe their eyes as looking “half mast” when they are trying to fully open their eyes. Sometimes this is combined with excess eyelid skin which can be addressed simultaneously. If your peripheral vision is significantly obstructed, your insurance company will pay for the surgical repair of this condition. Make an appointment for evaluation.

Aging of the lower lids can often make patients feel they appear tired or “drawn”. Usually the problem involves a combination of excess eyelid skin and bulging fat pockets of the lower lid which accentuate the tear trough and exacerbate the appearance of dark circles. Although this is not considered medically necessary and will not be covered by your insurance, these problems can often be corrected through surgery. Make an appointment for evaluation.

Dr. Durboraw maintains offices in Idaho Falls, and Sun Valley, Idaho, along with Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Contact the main office of The Center for Aesthetics in Idaho Falls and a staff member will set up an appointment in the office closest to you.

Face Lift by Dr. Brian Windle

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Rhytidectomy or more commonly known as a face lift, is a surgical procedure used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the face

The best candidates for this procedure are men and women whose face and neck have begun to sag but who still have some elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well-defined. A face lift can make you look younger and may enhance your self-confidence.

he vast majority of men and women do not experience any of these complications. You need to discuss these issues with Dr. Windle prior to your surgery to be sure you completely understand the basic risks along with any other special risks that may be involved.

At your initial consultation, Dr. Windle will evaluate your general health, examine your face, condition of your skin, your underlying bone structure, and explain the procedure to you along with the risks of the procedure. In addition, your doctor will give you different options based on your particular situation. After meeting with Dr. Windle, he will tell you what he thinks is a realistic expectation for your situation. Photographs will be taken and possible alterations can be made on the computer screen to give you an idea of what changes you can expect to see as a result of your facelift.

The recovery period following a face lift will consist of some numbness, swelling, and bruising in the face. Your drainage tubes will be removed 2-3 days after surgery when your drainage has slowed down. You will need to keep your head elevated for a couple of weeks. You will have some scars from your facelift but the majority will be hidden in your hair and the rest will be placed in the natural creases of your face and ears. In time, they will fade and be scarcely visible.

Tummy Tuck In Michigan

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Although the results of a tummy tuck are technically permanent, the positive outcome can be greatly diminished by significant fluctuations in your weight. For this reason, individuals who are planning substantial weight loss or women who may be considering future pregnancies may be advised to postpone a tummy tuck. Also, a tummy tuck cannot correct stretch marks, although these may be removed or somewhat improved if they are located on the areas of excess skin that will be excised, generally those treated areas below the belly button.

The success and safety of your tummy tuck procedure depends very much on your complete candidness during your consultation. You’ll be asked a number of questions about your health, desires and lifestyle. The decision to have tummy tuck surgery is extremely personal and you’ll have to decide if the benefits will achieve your goals and if the risks and potential complications are acceptable.

Your plastic surgeon and/or staff will explain in detail the risks associated with surgery. You will be asked to sign consent forms to ensure that you fully understand the procedure you will undergo and any risks or potential complications. If your abdominoplasty is performed on an outpatient basis, be sure to arrange for someone to drive you to and from surgery and to stay with you for at least the first night following surgery.
When choosing a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck, remember that the
surgeon’s experience and your comfort with him or her are just as important as the final cost of the surgery.

Breast Augmentation with a Breast Lift

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

The breast augmentation breast lift combination procedure has become more commonly requested in recent years. The trick in the decision for the breast augmentation breast lift combination procedure is based on the anatomy of the breasts. Many women have the desire to increase breast size, but may not consider that adding weight to the breasts will produce a greater amount of sagging. For this reason, some breast augmentation candidates require a breast lift. Breast lift procedures address many types of changes that women may desire. The breast lift may be required to lift the breasts, create upper pole fullness in the top portion of the breasts and/or improve the appearance of asymmetrical breasts.

The breast lift is a procedure that may also be performed without a breast augmentation should breast size increase not be a factor in breast augmentation. Plastic surgeons may reposition existing breast tissue to enhance the appearance of breasts in a breast lift procedure. Repositioning of the breast tissue can create more upper pole fullness in the breasts, improve asymmetry and present an enhanced appearance in clothes.

Nose surgery in New Jersey

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

During nose surgery, plastic surgeons may reshape the nasal bones, cartilage and soft tissues inside the nose to improve the appearance and functionality when necessary. The final outcome of nose surgery relates to the surgeon’s technical skill and artistic expertise. Sometimes, there are limits to the procedure. For example, intracranial features and skin condition are features of the nose that cannot be altered in nose surgery and may have a role in the outcome of the procedure. Complication risks are very low, but sometimes unavoidable in nose surgery. The patient’s compliance with post operative instructions following the procedure also plays a role in the final outcome of nose surgery.

It is true that some complications may result from error in surgery. Though, all in all the risks are very low in nose surgery. Complications can usually be managed through treatment by a plastic surgeon and some complications may require secondary nose surgery. Yet, the rewards from relief of nasal birth defects, trauma, or an unsatisfactory nasal appearance are plentiful for most all nose surgery patients.

By exploring some complication risks, people interested in nose surgery can see how their part in nose surgery is an important component in surgical outcomes. Following your surgeon’s instructions is vital in limiting complications. Ask your surgeon any questions and concerns you may have about your healing process. Once you go home to heal, call the staff with questions that may come up during your healing process.

Contact your surgeons office today to schedule a consultation. See if nose surgery is an option for you.

What to expect when having a face lift

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

A face lift procedure will generally take several hours, although all surgeons will perform the procedure in his/her own way. The incisions will begin at the temples above the hairline, continue down in front of the ear, and continue behind the ear lobe and extend to the lower scalp. If the neck is part of the procedure, a small incision will be made under the chin.

Pain and discomfort may be a part of the recovery, but can be minimized through use of pain medication. It is normal for the skin to be numb for a few weeks to a month after the operation. Elevating your head and keeping it still for a few days after the procedure will help minimize swelling. The drain tube and bandages will generally be removed in one to five days, depending on recovery progress, and stitches will be removed after five days.

After the removal of the bandages, your face may still appear bruised and puffy; however, you will look normal within a few weeks. The scalp may take longer to heal, although most patients are back to work within about ten days of the surgery. After the third week after the procedure, you will look and feel much better.

While a face lift cannot stop or even slow down the aging process, it can set back the clock by cosmetically altering and adjusting the placement of the skin on your face and neck, as well as removing excess fat and tightening the muscles underneath the skin. If a face lift is performed, it may be accompanied by a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, nose reshaping, or other procedures.

Breast Augmentation for the older generation

Breast augmentation for women over thirty is quite popular. During the thirties, some women may notice stretching of the skin surrounding the breasts. Women in their thirties may notice breast droopiness. They may also notice other breast changes following pregnancy, weight gain or weight loss. The breast-to-under the breast ratio and breast-to-waist ratio becomes more important as well. As the first signs of age appear on the breasts, thirty something women may become more concerned about limiting the effects of aging on the breasts. The thirty something time frame tends to be one when women are also more dedicated to physical fitness and diet. So, why not consider breast augmentation to complement body contours? Contact your surgeon today for a consultation.
