The decision to add breast volume or reduce breast volume to improve breast asymmetry depends on the goals of the individual. In either case, the outcome of balancing breast size between the breasts, breast surgery is enhancing and most patients are pleased with the results. The size and projection of the nipple may also add to an asymmetric appearance of the breasts. In addition, some women with breast asymmetry have breast droopiness which can further implicate the appearance of asymmetric breasts.
